Nuclear Medicine
A wide range of nuclear medicine procedures for adults and paediatrics are performed by qualified nuclear medicine specialists on two new gamma cameras, one single and the other double headed which is able to acquire SPECT studies. Reporting is carried out on a daily basis by Nuclear Medicine Consultants. |

Lithotripsy
Lithotripsy is used to treat urinary tract stones. This will be performed on a Siemens Lithostar unit. Further information can obtained from contacting the Resident Medical Officer who carries out these procedures |
Ultrasound
Ultrasound procedures are carried out on a state-of-the-art unit by specialist Radiologists and include
colourdoppler vascular imaging, oncology, musco-skeletal and general ultrasound. |
Dental Radiology
The latest equipment for panoramic radiology and cephalometry is provided including intra-oral dental
work. |
General Radiography
Facilities are available for chest,abdominal,other general, orthopaedic and ENT radiography. |

Exercise Electrocardiography
This test has a wide variety of applications, but is particulary useful in the diagnosis and assessment of coronary artery disease both symptomatic. The investigation is carried out by technical staff and a doctor permanently in attendance. Full resuscitation facilities are available. Both the electrocardiograph and blood pressure changes are monitored closely throughout the test, and results usually reported within 24 hours. |

Echocardiogrphy with Spectral & Colour Doppler
Echocardiography and doppler are the non-invasive investigations of choice for valve lesions, heart muscle disorders (including hypertension and heart failure) and congenital heart disease. All studies are performed and reported personally by the consultant staff and immediate reports can be provided if required. Studies are retained on videotape and measurement data stored on a computer database to provide serial comparisons. |

Ambulatory Electrocardiography
This is of a particular use in the diagnosis and management of arrythmias and their response to drug treatment. The patient is fitted with a Hotler monitor by an experienced technician and supervised by our resident doctor. The quality of recording is checked before the patient leaves. The entire 24 hour tape is then analysed and, if required, can be reported by a Cardiologist. |
24 hour Tape Analysis Service
All tapes for a 24 hour period are analysed by an experienced technician. The equipment can read
C120x,C90s and C60s. If required, a report by one of our Cardiologists can be obtained within 24 hours. |

Cardiomemo
For patients with intermittent abnormal heart beats, pain or palpitations, the Cardiomemo allows the ECG to be recorded whenever symptoms occur. The Cardiomemo is kept by the patient for a period of a week and 30 seconds ECG recording of the cardiac events are sent via the telephone to theClinicfor analysis. All information is interpreted by a Cardiologist and immediate written or oralreports proided. |
